For our Line Development class, we collaborated with fashion design students to develop a contemporary clothing brand that fit seamlessly into the Crescala Collective. Our process began with inspiration from Gretchen Fenton, whom we had the privilege of meeting during a class trip to the Condé Nast Archive. Her impeccable vintage style, as though she had stepped out of a time machine, led us to discover Raissa Bretana, who also curates outfits that reflect different decades flawlessly.
My team and I were inspired to create a brand rooted in timeless elegance, focusing our first collection on 1950’s Hollywood Glam. Dorothy Dandridge served as our muse, embodying sophistication and star power. Throughout the project, we ensured our designs aligned with our brand ethos and the contemporary market while celebrating the glamour and artistry of a bygone era.
